Iran. Armenia will Start Construction of New Power Transfer Line in 2017

Armenia has announced that operations for construction of new power transfer network between Iran and the country will start based on schedule as of this new Christian year.
Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources. Hayk Harutyunyan provided an outline of his ministry`s 2016 performance and said the project will bring power transfer in the first network to 350 and then 700 megawatts.
According to Armenian official`s announcement. operations for laying the third line for energy transfer between the two countries have started and aim to increase exchange of power between the two countries.
If the new project is successfully implemented. Armenia will be provided with new energy system. Harutyunyan said.
He underlined that in light of enforcement of the project. power will be exported three times the domestic consumption level and a good condition for Armenia`s transfer to a key energy player in the region will be provided.
