Reinvigorate and restore production from mature gas wells

The Baker Hughes F.O.A.M.™ technology program offers solutions to safely and economically rejuvenate older gas wells.
As oil and gas fields mature. the reservoir pressure declines and the amount of produced water increases. Over time. this decreased pressure and increase in water results in a water column too heavy for the hydrocarbon fluids to lift. leading to a number of production challenges such as:
Sudden increases in production decline rates. Wells requiring cycling to maintain production. Reliance on compression to continually produce gas. Low production rates with high casing pressures. Difficulty regaining production after wells are shut in. Ultimately. any of these challenges will result in a loss of revenue. increased production costs. and decreased profits.
The Baker Hughes F.O.A.M.™ technology program offers solutions to safely and economically rejuvenate older gas wells. Our foamer products create foam in the well. This reduces the effective specific gravity of loaded fluids. making them easier to unload so production can be restored.
The Company has a broad portfolio of chemical deliquification solutions available through its water-based F.O.A.M. technology product line. Additionally. it’s new. oil-soluble F.O.A.M. PLUS™ technology product line has been specifically designed for unloading fluids with high levels of condensate. Additionally. Baker Hughes comprehensive line of multifunctional foamers simultaneously provides deliquification while defending against additional production challenges such as scale. corrosion. and paraffin. This allows multiple challenges to be addressed using a single chemical injector and can minimize storage and chemical handling requirements. mitigating the associated HSE risks.
