Iran Attracts Over $6bln of Foreign Investments to Build Modern Power Plants

Iran has attracted a lot of foreign investments to build state-of-the-art power plants. a senior energy official said.
`We have attracted some $6 billion of foreign investments for construction of new power plants.` Managing Director of Iran`s Thermal Power Plants Holding Company Mohsen Tarztalab said on Friday.
He went on to say that the contracts for these investments were signed after the implementation of Iran`s nuclear deal signed between Tehran and the six world powers (the US. Russia. China. France. Britain and Germany).
He expressed the hope that Iran`s energy projects will become operational by next year.
In relevant remarks in mid-June. a senior trade official announced that the volume of foreign investments in Iran has considerably increased.
`A recent report shows that the volume of foreign investment in Iran has increased by over 64 percent.` Head of Iran`s Investment Organization Mohammad Khazayee said.
He also said that the approvals for investment and issuing guarantees have also increased by over 100 percent.
