Iran Exports $5.5bn Non-Oil Products to Iraq

Iran has exported 12 million tons of non-oil products worth $5.5bn to Iraq during the 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year (ending on March 20. 2018).

The figure includes 18% of Iran`s total exports. Iran commercial attaché to Iraq Naser Behzad said.

He also referred to Iran-Iraq trade surplus. saying 66% of Iran’s exports are to China. Iraq. the UAE. South Korea and Afghanistan half of which go to China and Iraq.

The average cost of Iran exports to Iraq has been $460 since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year.

The figure is 1.2-fold more compared with exports to other countries.

Experts believe that Iraq enjoying good security and rich oil and financial sources in post-Daesh era is a suitable market for Iranian investors and economic activists.
