Indonesia Eager to Expansion of Oil Ties with Iran

Jakarta`s ambassador to Tehran expressed optimism about expansion of oil and gas ties between Iran and Indonesia.

Octavino Alimudin said: `Since 2016. Indonesia has resumed its oil and gas cooperation with Iran by importing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from the National Iranian Oil Company.`

He also expressed his country`s readiness to invest in Iran`s oil industry. expressing optimism that Indonesia`s Pertamina will be awarded a production contract in Iran.

Addressing one of the panels of the 2nd International Congress and Exhibition of Oil Exploration and Production and the 5th International Congress and Exhibition of Iran`s Drilling Industry here in Tehran on Saturday. the Indonesian Ambassador to Tehran added that such conferences are a great opportunity for Indonesian oil industry activists to better understand the processes in the Iranian oil industry.
