Iran Hydrocarbon Reserves will Last 155 Years

 

Iran`s hydrocarbon reserves will last 155 years. Houtan Salari. a deputy at the National Iranian Oil Company. made the statement on the sidelines of `Third Argus Iran LPG and Petrochemical Conference` in Tehran. slated for April 17-18. NIOC`s news portal reported on Tuesday.

Pointing to the country`s in-place oil reserves. Salari said Iran boasts one the world`s largest proven oil reserves of 158.7 billion barrels.

According to the official. NIOC exports 2 million barrels of crude oil per day on average. of which 40% are sold in European markets.

Referring to recent reports by the World Bank. he added that Iran is ranked fifth biggest hydrocarbon reserve holder in the world.
