Gazprom to Lay Nord Stream 2 Pipes in Finland

Ukraine is against the construction of Nord Stream 2 as it expects a decline in gas transit shipments across its territory and subsequently a decrease in revenue from gas transit.

Russia`s gas giant Gazprom is about to start laying pipes underwater soon to build the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in Finland`s territory.

Solitaire. one of the world`s largest pipe-laying ships. will build the Russian pipeline in the Exclusive Economic Zone of Finland. and then will move to another sector. Russia`s Vedomosti newspaper reported. citing a statement by a spokesman for Nord Stream 2 AG.

The Nord Stream 2 project involves the construction of two strings of a gas pipeline running from the Russian coast via the Baltic Sea to Germany.
