Japan Interested in Sharing Water Reduction Strategy with Iran`s Steel Mills

Iranian Mines and Industries Development Organization (IMIDRO) declared that a Japanese company has voiced its willingness to procure the technology for reducing the water consumption in Iran`s direct reduced iron factories within the framework of the 10-billion-dollar agreement between Tehran and Tokyo.
Japan`s Kobel Co. Company will share its technology of reducing water consumption in direct reduced iron factories and to be used for Iran`s direct reduced iron factories.
Ken Hiroseh. deputy head of Kobel Co. affiliated to Japan`s Kobe Steel Mill in a meeting with Head of IMIDRO Company said that by utilizing such technology the water consumption will be reduced by about 40 percent and gas consumption will also be reduced by five percent.
He underlined that his company will take charge of financial procurements and also preparation of a part of equipment of direct reduced iron project of Makran steel.
