Bandar Anzali Non-Oil Exports up 75%

Based on the Ports and Maritime Organization of Gilan Province report exports from Anzali port experienced 75% growth in weight during the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 21).
Speaking to IRNA, Head of Gilan Ports and Maritime Organization Hamid Reza Abaie said non-oil products consisted of crops, steel, wood, glass, concentrate and construction materials.
He added the loading cargo had 73% growth.
Anzali Free Trade Zone is the only free zone in the southern part of the Caspian Sea and the economic hub of Iran with an area of 9400 hectares of land and a 40 km shoreline. It is located in Gilan province in the north of the country.
