Iran’s Monthly Trade Hits Record High despite Sanctions

Iranian Customs Administration spokesman said that Iran’s non-oil trade reached its highest monthly level in years, rising to $11 billion and 538 million in value in the last month of the Iranian calendar year.
Iranian Customs Administration spokesman Seyed Ruhollah Latifi said that 14 million and 539 thousand tons of goods worth 11 billion and 538 million dollars were exchanged between Iran and other countries.
He said this trade volume was done in the last month of the Iranian calendar year of 1400.
“Iran’s non-oil trade by registering the quorum of 11 billion and 538 million dollars in the last month of the Iranian calendar year reached the highest commercial value in a month in recent years, especially at the time of the escalation of sanctions in the last four years,” he said.
