The National Iranian Drilling Company has manufactured an acidification batch mixer by relying on local experts.
The mixer is developed with a shell resistant to acid and chemicals, said Ali Asghar Shokouhi Toroghi, head of the evaluation and monitoring of well experiments, stimulation and completion at the Exploration Department of the National Iranian Oil Company.
He said the item was needed for acidification, lifting and coiled tubing operations of the Exploration Department in the Persian Gulf which needed to be manufactured domestically.
Due to the obligation to supply this device according to the contract, the supply or manufacturing strategies of the device were discussed in numerous meetings of this department with the executives of the National Drilling Company and finally, due to limited resources and urgency of the matter, the National Iranian Drilling Company decided to build this device by relying on domestic capabilities, he said.
Shokouhi Toroghi added that the device was prepared by the experts of the National Iranian Drilling Company with the support, supervision, and periodic visits of the NIOC Exploration Department within 50 days. It has also been successfully tested in well operations at Forouzan field.
