Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the OPEC+ agreements in a phone call on Monday, the Kremlin said.
They said they would continue close coordination between Russia and Saudi Arabia “in the interests of maintaining stability in the world energy market,” the statement said.
The two sides also discussed developments in bilateral relations, particularly since Riyadh and Moscow will mark the 95th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this month.
The crown prince and Putin said they wanted to strengthen trade, and economic and investment cooperation.
The pair also discussed combatting the spread of COVID-19 and the possibility of using the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in the Kingdom.
They also discussed regional issues, especially the situation in Syria and issues related to the Arabian Gulf.
