President of Tatarstan Republic Rustam Minnikhanov. who is visiting Iran. met with Iranian co-chairman of Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission Mahmoud Vaezi here on Wednesday.
Minnikhanov. who arrived in Tehran on Wednesday morning. extended his condolences to the victims of flood-stricken areas and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.
In the meeting. he expressed his country’s interest to increase cooperation with Iran in the fields of shipbuilding and airplane industries.
President Minnikhanov underlined that expansion of bilateral cooperation with Iran is so important for Tatarstan and we want these cooperation to be expanded in different dimensions.
He added that currently there are good cooperation between Iran. Russia and Tatarstan. which is following up common goals.
Minnikhanov reminded that Tatarstan-Iran Business Conference is holding in Tehran now. and added that he is flying to Mashad today to consider grounds for cooperation development with Khorasan Razavi province.
