Head of the National Petrochemical Company of Iran (NPC) Marzieh Shahdaei said Ukraine can facilitate exports of Iranian petrochemical products to Europe.
In a meeting with Ukraine’s Ambassador to Tehran Sergei Buldiliak on Monday. Shahdaei called for enhanced cooperation between Tehran and Kiev in the sector of energy. Shana news agency reported.
She added that Ukraine could serve as Iran’s gate to Europe and help the country export its products to the European market.
“Formation of an export hub for Iran’s petrochemical products to Europe in Ukraine and considering Ukraine’s refinery products for consumption as petrochemical feedstock for the formation of petrochemical facilities in the country were among the topics discussed during the meeting.“ the Iranian deputy oil minister said following her talks with Buldiliak.
Iran’s exports of petrochemicals to Ukraine increased by 70% in the first 6 months of 2017 compared to the same period last year.
