Construction work for two new phases of the Bushehr nuclear power plant has kicked off in an official ceremony in southern Iran. The project will be conducted jointly by the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and Russia’s Rosatom.
The new power plants will triple Iran’s nuclear-generated electricity production to about 3.3 thousand megawatts a year.
