A contract related to the third phase of transferring electricity from Armenia to Iran in exchange for gas transfer to that country signed and also a joint venture Radiotherapy Center launched in Armenia. a senior diplomat announced.
Following energy cooperation between Iran and Armenia a contract related to the construction of the third phase of electricity transfer project in exchange for gas was signed between the two countries. Iran`s Ambassador to Armenia Kazem Sajjadi said.
Sajjadi added that the capacity for this project is to be considerably increased.
He said that a joint venture Radiotherapy Center was opened in one of public hospitals in the presence of Armenian president.
Armenia by around 30.000 kilometers area and with a population of 3 million is located in Caucasus Region and in the year 1991 it became independent from the Soviet Union.
