Syria Re-Launched Gas Field

A gas field which was shut down because of crisis has been launched in Syria. reports RT. Deir-Attiyah-1 gas field in Syria. north of Damascus. with a capacity of 150 thousand cubic meters per day was put into operation after a long break due to the crisis in the country. “ the report said citing the press service of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the SAR. According to  the report .Ali Ghanem. Oil Minister . took part in the ceremony of the field launch. Drilling at this field was completed in 2009. the drilling depth is 3.741 meters. Due to the  crisis that began in 2011. the field. with gas reserves of about 4 billion cubic meters. was closed. The reports also said that a highway was opened in the Syrian province of Homs. In January. it was reported that a power station that had been destroyed during the conflict had resumed operation in Aleppo.
