Gazprom Retains Leadership Among Russian Companies in Forbes Global 2000

Forbes has released an updated version of Global 2000. its annual rating of the biggest companies of the world. TASS reported on Thursday. This year 22 Russian companies found themselves in the list this year against 25 in the previous year’s ranking. and Gazprom is ranked the biggest among them. This is the fourth consecutive year the company enjoys the leadership in the Forbes’ ranking. 

The Russian natural gas holding has upgraded its rank to the 43rd now from the previous year’s 40th .   There are also Sberbank (47th). Rosneft (52nd) and Lukoyl (97th) among Top 100.

Surgutneft (330). Transneft (386). VTB (471). Novatek (500). Tatneft (524). Norilsk Nickel (574).Rosneft (767). Novolipetsk Mettallurgical Combine (791) and Severstal (925) are included in the list of the world’s biggest companies.  

Inter RAO UES (1189). Magnitogorsk Mettalurgical Combine (1237). Alrosa (1327) and Magnit (1370) are included in the list as well.   

ICBC. China’s bank. is topping the Global 2000 ranking for the seventh year in a row. Its market capitalization amounts to $305.1 billion. assets to $4.03 trillion and profit $45.2 billion. 

JPMorgan Chase. the United States’ bank. came second in the ranking and China’s Construction Bank third.
