He also said that using national currencies and specialized messaging system in mutual financial transactions as well as development of trilateral and multilateral cooperation with the neighboring states will further flourish economic ties and meet the interest of both nations and the region.
Donmez. for his part. said that Turkey will make its utmost efforts to develop economic ties and implement agreements. reminding that the Turkish president and officials have many times declared clearly that they do not accept to comply with the US unilateral sanctions against Iran.
In relevant remarks on Sunday. Secretary of the Joint Iran-Turkey Economic Commission Bahman Hosseinpour said that Iranian and Turkish banks were working on a plan to establish a financial channel between the two countries based on national currencies. in a bid to evade US sanctions against Tehran.
Talks are underway with Turkish banks to do transactions using national currencies. Hosseinpour said. noting that Iran is currently experiencing the toughest sanctions in the history which is a major problem in the way of mutual cooperation.
Iran and Turkey are planning to define new areas of cooperation in the upcoming 27th Joint Iran-Turkey Economic Commission in Ankara next week. he added.
