The Deputy Director of Engineering at Ilam Gas Refinery said the facility had obtained the ISO 17025 International Standard for quality management. and said: Ilam Gas Refinery’s laboratory is one of the pioneers in adoption and deployment of this standard at the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).
According to NIGC. Hamed Alishiri stated that the laboratory of the refinery had been certified by the National Qualification Center of Iran and was eligible to achieve the ISO 17025 international standard.
Achieving this standard is the most fundamental step in order to promote the laboratory’s level in the national and international levels.
According to him. the standard consists of two parts: Management requirements and technical requirements. and meeting these two requirements means being qualified for ISO 17025 standard.
ISO 17025 is the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories. It`s a set of requirements those laboratories use to show that they operate a quality management system and that they`re technically competent to do the work that they do.
