The Presidents of Russia and Turkey do not object to the Turkish Stream gas pipeline being extended to Bulgaria. TASS reports. Russia will extend the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline to Bulgaria and include it in the country’s network. Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said referring to the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him. Bulgaria plans to negotiate with Gazprom to buy gas and transit it to other countries. Earlier. Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said Bulgaria needs direct supplies of Russian gas through the Black Sea. and suggested the project to be called the “Bulgarian Stream“. In December 2014. Russia abandoned the construction of the South Stream gas pipeline through Bulgaria and replaced it with a similar capacity pipeline project later known as the Turkish Stream.
