The total amount of export of petrochemical products from Iran exceeded ten billion dollars in the first eleven months of the current Iranian year (March 20. 2016-February 20. 2017). said Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Marzieh Shah-Dayee.
She said the pace of exports of petrochemical products surpassed 19 million tons valued at 10 billion dollars over the past 11 months.
Shah-Dayee deemed petrochemical industry as key component of the country’s economy. and said. The conditions of insurance and transports has improved for exports of petrochemical products as Iran enjoys a variety of feedstock. vastness of territorial waters. capable manufacturers and contractors as major advantages as regards development of petrochemical industry.
In relevant remarks in early January. a senior energy official disclosed that Iran is planning to considerably boost the export of its petrochemical products before the end of the current Iranian year (will end March 20. 2017).
Iran`s petrochemical exports will rise up to 20 million tons by March 20. Director for Planning and Development of National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NIPC) Farnaz Alavi said on Monday.
The Iranian energy official reiterated that the elimination of sanctions have facilitated the development of the country`s petrochemical industry. and said. The exports to the extent of the current level show growth in the production and exports in recent months.
