Fajr Jam Refinery Launches Solar Power Plant

Fajr Jam Gas Refining Company has officially opened a solar power plant in its facility.

According to the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Hamid Allahveroudi, head of the plant’s engineering and development department, said: The solar power plant is connected to the power grid and operated with 30 kilowatts of capacity and is launched in line with the organization’s policy of using renewable energy resources, environmental protection and energy consumption management.

He added that the solar power plant was built while observing the latest environmental and international standards and was bankrolled by capital budget of the energy and carbon management department of the company.

The official also announced the construction of a 40-kilowatt solar power plant for the administrative building of Siraf Port and the construction of a one-megawatt power plant at the refinery as part of the company’s future plans.
