The turbine turbo-pump of Forouzan joint field was repaired by the specialists of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) in Khark operational district and was returned to Forouzan platform.
According to IOOC, Mansour Lirawi, head of mechanical maintenance in Khark operational district, said: Due to the failure of the pump’s body in the platform, it was initially decided that the overhaul would be done in the form of outsourcing, but was later entrusted to our division for maintenance.
He added: First, the corroded parts of staffing box were carefully filled up by skilled welders, and after that, the pump shell was transferred to Khark Petrochemical Plant for boring operations.
After the completion of this stage, the pump underwent a series of other repairs and tests to be prepared for operation, he added.
