Poland has begun new cooperation with Iran in the post-JCPOA era over development of oil trade.

Tehran has prioritized the development of its joint oil and gas fields. especially those shared with Arab neighbors Iraq and Qatar.

The Poles will study the field’s geological structure and its reserves in six months. and provide NIOC with the results.

The new oil and investment contract for international firms. known as the IPC. will replace Iran’s buyback oil deals.

Any loss of opportunities to exploit existing capacities. especially in joint fields. will give way to neighbors to carry the day.

The country was already on the way to make a stronger oil market recovery.

Oil market sources said that they expect to see China’s imports of crude oil from Iran to surge to a record high in 2017.

Iran has plans to bring its oil recovery rate to an average of 40% in a 30-year period.

Natural gas makes up 68% of the energy mix in Iran.

The official expounded that the recovery factor in the two joint fields is intended to climb from the current 5.5 or 6 to approximately 20 per cent.
