Vakili made the remark in a ceremony to sign Memorandum of Understanding for implementation of the national project for upgrading efficiency of motor stations and energy conservation.
He said the volume of gas and energy produced and consumed in Iran is incomparable with those in any other part of the world.
With such volume of gas produced. Iran should not stand as exporter. while the case is that it is even importer of the fuel. he added.
He noted that 39 for 42 percent of domestic gas consumption in Iran goes to the households.
