Iran Has %12.7 Growth in Steel Production

The World Steel Association (WSA) announced that Iran has had a 12.4 percent growth in production of crude steel in the first three months of 2017 compared with the same period in 2016.
The report says that the Iranian production of crude steel was more than 4.5m tons which shows a %12.7 growth compared to the previous year’s approximate 4m tons.
It has been announced that Iran is the 14th steel producer in the world. In 1394 Persian year. (starting March 21. 2015). Iran`s steel export passed 4.2m tons. For 1395 (starting March 20. 2016) Iran could produce 5.5m tons. Iran is the 2nd steel producer in the region after Turkey.
Ironstone is the main material to produce steel. The known reserves of ironstone have been announced to be about 5.1b tons. from which more than 3.1b tons is proven and the rest is probable.
