Iran’s Oil Output Reach Post-JCPOA Record

Iran’s daily production of crude oil surpassed 3.9 million barrels last month. rising to a record high following the removal of sanctions under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). spokesman for the Iranian administration announced Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters at a weekly press conference in Tehran. Mohammad Baqer Nobakht said Iran’s oil output in Khordad –the third month in the Iranian calendar (May-June)- exceeded 3.901.000 barrels per day for the first time after termination of anti-Iran sanctions.

Iran’s Oil Ministry had already made the necessary preparations to boost crude production capacity to the pre-sanctions levels.

The sanctions were lifted after coming into force in January 2016 of the JCPOA. a nuclear accord between Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia. China. the US. Britain. France and Germany). helping Iran increase its oil exports.
