The subsidiary of U.S.-based General Electric (GE). Baker Hughes (BHGE). is determined to support Turkey`s energy policy. BHGE Middle East. Turkey and India President and CEO Rami Qasem emphasized that the company will continue to vouch for Turkey`s national energy strategy in line with the country`s 2023 vision.
`We see Turkey as a long-term partner. BHGE has participated in such important projects as the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) project and is ready to mobilize all of its support for the second phase of TANAP.` Qasem said. highlighting that Turkey`s seismic explorations in the Mediterranean and Black Sea are among the other energy projects to be supported by the company.
After GE acquired 62.5 percent of Baker Hughes for $7.4 billion in July. the CEO evaluated company operations in the region.
Noting that after GE`s purchase of Baker Hughes. a new perspective on the energy industry emerged. Qasem expressed that the company will continue working to increase efficiency for its customers by providing a wide array of solutions in miscellaneous areas. He also highlighted that Baker Hughes brings together state-of-the-art equipment in the oil and gas industry. services and digital solutions.
Affirming that BHGE will also operate in Turkey. Qasem said. `BGHE can provide assistance for works enhancing capacity at the natural gas storage facilities in Silivri and Lake Tuz.`
Recalling that Baker Hughes previously participated in seismic surveys in the Black Sea and that GE was involved in seismic operations in the Mediterranean Sea. he emphasized that Turkey is a long-term partner of BHGE and the company is willing to continue partaking in energy projects like TANAP. of which Turkey is a part.
Furthermore. Qasem also noted that BHGE will continue providing support for Turkey in its quest to accomplish goals to secure energy diversity. sustainability and to achieve energy independence within the scope of the country`s 2023 vision and national energy strategy.
