Big petroleum refinery with natural gas synthesis is being constructed in the village of Ovadandepe. Ltd.. for the first time natural gas will be processed into liquid fuel- petrol.` reports Turkmen Dovled Khabarlary news agency. The project entitled GTG – Gas to gasoline is based on the Dutch technology Haldor Topsoe. the plant will daily process 1 bn 785 mln cu m of natural gas and produce 600 000 tons of AI-92 petrol which meets Euro-5 standards. `This synthetic fuel will differ with ideal ecological properties. it will have no sulfides . no azote containing substances.` said the message. Over 700 specialists from foreign companies and more than 4700 local workers and engineers are working on the construction ground. 7 km gasmain and 26 km waterline are being constructed. The project valued $1.7 bn is financed by the investments of Japan and Türkmengaz.
