Big Refinery with Technology of Natural Gas Synthesis Constructed in Turkmenistan

Big petroleum refinery with natural gas synthesis is being constructed in the village of Ovadandepe. Akhalsk veyalat. central region of Turkmenistan. reports Trend. ` Türkmengaz is the owner of the project erected under support of Japanese Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Ltd.. for the first time natural gas will be processed into liquid fuel- petrol.` reports Turkmen Dovled Khabarlary news agency. The project entitled GTG – Gas to gasoline is based on the Dutch technology Haldor Topsoe. the plant will daily process 1 bn 785 mln cu m of natural gas and produce 600 000 tons of AI-92 petrol which meets Euro-5 standards. `This synthetic fuel will differ with ideal ecological properties. it will have no sulfides . no azote containing substances.` said the message. Over 700 specialists from foreign companies and more than 4700 local workers and engineers are working on the construction ground. 7 km gasmain and 26 km waterline are being constructed. The project valued $1.7 bn is financed by the investments of Japan and Türkmengaz.
