Poland Urges other EU Countries to Refuse from Russian Gas

Poland urges other countries of the European Union to refuse from the supply of natural gas from Russia. Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski stated this on air of Polish Radio. `We want to end the contract with Russia in 2022. Moreover. we urge other countries. for example Croatia. to build a gas terminal in the Adriatic that could provide this part of Europe with gas from other countries of the world.` Waszczykowski said.
As it was reported earlier. Poland stopped taking Russian gas due to its poor quality.
According to the Polish media. natural gas contains too much water. and the pipeline operator does not have the equipment to remove it. Currently. Poland depends on Russia for about 40% in gas consumption. one third of the gas comes from domestic sources and 20% from Central Asia.
As for Ukraine. it will not return to the purchases of Russian gas in the current format. even if the proposal by Gazprom is more profitable than from European suppliers. stated by Deputy Prime Minister Volodymyr Kistion in an interview.
According to him. to consider the transition to partial purchase of gas from Russia is possible only in case of transferring the point of transit registration to the eastern border.
Gazprom`s favorable proposals for the supply of blue fuel for Ukraine did not always justify itself. Kistion added.
