Iran Resumes Electricity Exports to Neighbors

After solving electricity disconnection problems. Iran resumed exports of electricity to Iraq. Afghanistan and Pakistan. Iran`s Energy Minister said.

Iran is now implementing its commitments for exchanging energy with neighboring countries. Reza Ardakanian said addressing a press conference in Parand Power Plant.

Elaborating on Iraq debts. he said. `They started paying the outstanding amount.`

In addition to exports. Iran is now able to import electricity from Turkmenistan and Armenia. Ardakanian said.

Responding to another question on German Company `Siemens` withdrawal. he said the company`s commitments are still underway.

Elsewhere in his remarks. Iranian minister referred to border waters saying there are many ways for developing relations in this.

`We will promote water relations with neighbors.` he reiterated.
