Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) announced today an increase in its daily fuel production by 60.000 barrels. after the work done in one of the units of the Cardon Refinery. Falcon state.
A press release issued by the oil company stressed that the increase comes from the repair carried out by specialists from the Paraguana refining center and the subsidiary PDV Maintenance. which involved about 160 workers.
Considered one with the largest capacity in the world. the Paraguana complex includes the refineries of Bajo Grande. Amuay and Cardon. the latter two responsible for processing 75 percent of the Venezuelan motor vehicle fuel.
Venezuelan crude oil production. the main source of income for the country. averaged about 1.500.000 barrels per day during the first semester of 2018. the president of the oil company. Manuel Quevedo. recently reported.
In his statements. the PDVSA president highlighted the progress of the entity despite economic sanctions imposed by the United States government along with other internal factors that marked the decline in production of so-called black gold in the South American country.
