North Sea Caterers Overwhelmingly Accept Improved Pay Offer

Unite has announced today that. following a consultative ballot. a 3% wage increase offer was accepted by 92% of members from the Catering Offshore Trade Association (COTA).

COTA represents six companies. collectively employing almost 3.000 people.

It’s members provide catering and ancillary services across installations in the North Sea.

COTA is made up of Aramark. Entier. Compass Group UK. FOSS. Sodexo and Trinity

Unite regional industrial officer. Vic Fraser. described the agreement as “heading in the right direction for workers.

He added: The offer included a 3% pay rise on all rates of pay and an improvement on current terms and conditions.

This included the overtime rate now being payable for all offshore delays including weather delay.

This is another major win for Unite in the offshore sector. and we will continue to fight to improve all our offshore members’ terms and conditions whether that be within the Catering. Construction or Drilling sectors.
