In a relevant development in December 2018. an Ivory Coast official specialized in Muslim merchants` affairs. Mamadou Doumbia announced that merchants from Ivory Coast were eager for extensive cooperation with Iran.
Doumbia made the remarks in his meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Ivory Coast Mansour Shakibmehr. placing special emphasis on the cooperation of economic activists of the two countries.
In the meeting. the two sides discussed various issues in the field of bilateral cooperation in trade and economic sectors.
He further called on economic activists of the two countries of Iran and Côte d`Ivoire to take effective steps in line with strengthening business activities.
