Even Iran’s Softest Revenge Scenario will be Historic Nightmare for U.S.

Ali Shamkhani. the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC). said on Tuesday that several scenarios have been put forwards by the SNSC to revenge on U.S. for assassination of IRGC Quds Force Commander. nothing that even the softest scenario will be certainly a nightmare for the White House officials.

The United States forces assassinated Iran’s Lt. General Qassem Soleimani and Iraq’s Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. the second-in-command of Iraq’s pro-government Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) — better known as Hashd al-Sha’abi — in an airstrike at Baghdad’s international airport early on Friday.

“So far. 13 revenge scenarios have been put forward by the Supreme National Security Council. and even if the worst-case scenario is reached by consensus. it could be a historic nightmare for Americans.“ Shamkhani said.

`For some considerations. we can`t provide more information to the media. but let`s promise that the retaliatory actions of the great hero Iranian nation is not going to be only simple operation.“ Shamkhani underscored.

As Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said. General Soleimani was invited to Iraq to convey the message of Iranian officials about Tehran- Riyadh ties to the Iraqi Prime Minister.

Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and other senior military officials have vowed to take a “tough revenge“ for Soleimani’s blood.

On Saturday. Trump claimed that his military would hit “very important“ targets. including cultural heritage sites if the Iranians want to take a retaliatory action against the assassination of General Soleimani.

“We have … targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago). some at a very high level &amp. important to Iran.“ said Trump in a tweet while making a reference to the seizure of the U.S. embassy in Tehran in 1979 during which 52 Americans were taken. hostage.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Sunday responded to Trump. saying. “Through MILLENNIA of history. barbarians have come and ravaged our cities. razed our monuments and burnt our libraries.“
