Iran’s ports south and north of the country are drawing an unprecedented amount of investment from the private sector as authorities eye a jump in onshore manufacturing activities.

The goal is to increase Iraqi export outlets and find markets for the increasing oil production.

The field was pumping around 290.000 bpd prior to the shutdown.

More than 225 million worth of non-oil commodities have been exported from the central Iranian province of Markazi in the first three months of the current local calendar year (March 21- June 21). which shows a year-on-year increase by 4%.

Tehran has summoned the UK'.s ambassador to Iran over the incident. calling the seizure a form of piracy.
