Gazprom is already a major player in the global natural gas liquefaction market.

Russia intends to build a trans-Azeri pipeline to Iran. which will not only strengthen bilateral Russian-Iranian relations and their trilateral expansion with Azerbaijan.

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak had already said that Gazprom company intend to produce natural gas in Iran and then by constructing a pipe line for 1200 kilometers transfer the gas to India.
