Egypt has signed a deal with Cyprus for the construction of a pipeline that will channel gas from the island’s Aphrodite field to facilities in Egypt.

Egypt is investing in a processing plant on the Red Sea that could produce some four million tonnes of petro-products a year.

The oil sector managed from June 2014 until now to sign 63 new oil and gas exploration deals.

The new area comprises two deep-water wells. which belong to a concession of the U.S. oil company Shell.

For the first time. the exhibition and conference will include the downstream petroleum industry.

The fields of Zohr. North Alexandria and Nooros are among the most important projects that will increase natural gas production.

There could be more cuts if there are other non-OPEC countries that will join the agreement.
