Earlier. US President Donald Trump announced that his administration will not re-certify Iran’s compliance with the 2015 JCPOA nuclear agreement.

Despite accusations by the Trump administration against Iran'.s compliance with the nuclear deal. the U.N. nuclear agency chief denied these claims.

Amano reaffirmed that his agency would keep performing its specified duties in a professional manner.

The warning from Trump came in a message to the U.N. agency’s annual meeting. being held in Vienna. that was read by U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry.

Amano became director-general on 1 December 2009 and he therefore saw the agency through the 2011 Fukushima accident in his home country of Japan.
