Eni Agreed to Merge Its Norwegian Business with Point Resources

Italian oil firm Eni has agreed to merge its oil and gas business in Norway with privately-held Point Resources. retaining the majority stake. the company said on Monday.

The Italian firm said the joint company. 69.6 percent owned by Eni and 30.4 percent by private equity investor HitecVision. will have a daily production of around 180.000 barrels of oil equivalents.
