Iran Non-Oil Export to Iraq ahead of Target

Iran`s goals for non-oil export to Iraq is 28% ahead of the set target. said the commercial attaché of Iran in Iraq.

`Based on the 8.5% growth rate and materialization of $4.5b non-oil exports. we can say that we are some 28% ahead of schedule.` said Nasser Behzad.

`It has been planned for Iran export to Iraq to reach $20b until the Iranian year 1404 (seven years from now).`

To materialize the goals. the requirements should be provided. which include comprehensive joint trade agreement. presence of big export companies. networking for distribution. using financial institute`s services. maximizing the border capacities. etc. Behzad said.

He added that 26 programs were passed to expand economic ties between Iran and Iraq. whose implementation requires political stability in Iraq.

Expanding non-oil export. energy export. exchanging trade delegations. mutual participation in exhibitions. enhancing the penetration of Iranian goods in Iraq. constant diplomatic meetings. etc. are among the plans.
