Iran. China United against US Unilateralism in IT Sector

The Islamic Republic of Iran and China are standing in a united front to confront the US unilateralism and hegemony in the field of IT and they should increase their strategic cooperation. Azari Jahromi said in a meeting with the Chinese ambassador to Tehran on Sunday.

He referred to the problems created by the US sanctions against Iran. but meantime. said. We have well learned ways to confront these embargos.

`Numerous presidents have come and gone in the US in the past 40 years but the Islamic Republic has continued its life mightily.` Azari Jahromi said.

Iran and China are among major countries hit by the US cruel sanctions. Both countries have stressed the need for increasing cooperation to confront Washington`s embargos.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif. in May said that Beijing was vehemently opposed to Washington’s unilateral sanctions against Tehran. reassuring that his country would spare no efforts to defend Iran’s legitimate interests.

China is strongly opposed to US unilateral sanctions and its prejudgments. China understands Iran’s conditions and concerns and safeguards its legitimate interests. Wang said. during his meeting with Zarif in Beijing.

The Chinese top diplomat added that China and Iran were strategic partners with comprehensive collaborative relationship.

The top diplomat went on saying that the two countries should promote mutual cooperation. as major regional and international developments are unfolding now. 

Reiterating that the landmark nuclear deal of 2015. also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was the protector of the UN might as well as the international principles and norms. Yi said that disputes around the deal were clear sign of conflict between unilateralism and multilateralism.

He also appreciated Iran for fully fulfilling its commitments under the deal. saying that Iran had shown in practice that it is not willing to walk away from JCPOA.

China is interested to cooperate with Iran to counter interventionism and get out of the situation so that the deal will be fully implemented. he said.
