OPEC’s Oil Basket Price Drops to $41.49

OPEC basket price dropped today, Tuesday, to 41.49 dollars due to weak demand after a new of wave of Covid-19.
OPEC said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency that “the price of OPEC’s basket of thirteen barrels of crude decreased by 1.49 dollars to record 41.49 dollars per barrel.”
It added that “the price decreased from last Friday, which amounted to 42.98 dollars, according to the OPEC secretariat Data.”
Some specialists attribute the drop in oil prices to weak demand as a result of another wave of Coronavirus that hit the European countries and USA, especially with the coming winter, which threatens to close completely some of these countries
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had told MPs that he would encourage Britons to return to work from home if possible to help contain the outbreak of the Corona virus.
