South Pars Gas Output Offshore Iran Steady

Pars Oil and Gas Co. has refuted a report of a pressure drop impacting gas production from the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf.
CEO Mohammad Meshkinfam told news service Shana that gas extraction had in fact increased by 65 MMcm since the start of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2020).
Reasons for the increase include repairs to the South Pars Phase 16 pipeline and completion of major South Pars gas wells, he added. Current production capacity is 700 MMcm/d.
“The drop in gas pressure in South Pars has not occurred to date and forecasts indicate that in the next three or four years, the drop in gas pressure will begin gradually,” he said.
