Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait Shared Gas Field must be Renegotiated

An expert on energy said that all the three countries of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iran can exploit the Arash joint gas field but due to the possible problems, they must trilaterally determine the borders.
As regards Saudi Arabia and Kuwait’s joint program on the Arash joint gas field, Ali Asghar Zargar, an expert on energy, said, “All the three countries of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iran can exploit the Arash joint gas field but due to the possible problems, they must trilaterally determine the borders. We should solve the issue through the negotiations as we settled similar issues with Qatar and Bahrain.”
He said that it’s necessary and the borderlines must be renegotiated.
Stressing that one of the solutions could be the joint exploitation and division of the extracted products, he said, “This issue needs negotiations and diplomacy.”
