Pointing to the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Iran an Nigeria on cooperation in variou fields including exports of technical and engineering services and petrochemical products (Urea), Iranian Oil Minister said, “The two countries have great capacities that can use them to expand bilateral relations in the field of energy”.
Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji held a meeting with Minister of State for Petroleum Resources of NigeriaTimipre Sylva on Saturday.
“Iran and Nigeria have large reserves of oil and gas, and Nigeria is the sixth exporter of LNG in the world,” Owji said.
“We hope that cooperation in the field of energy will increase between the two countries with the signing of MoUs,” he added.
“We signed a MoU to expand joint oil, gas and petrochemical cooperation, which was related to the export of technical and engineering services and energy development,” the Iranian minister noted.
