The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced the completion of the implementation of a vital strategic project to increase the supply of natural gas to the local market, and the project of sending a scrapers unit to the Sirte company for oil and gas production.
The NOC said that it had established a state-of-the-art system to reduce pressure at the gas compressor station of the “Green Stream” company, and actually started operational trials to raise the station’s capacity to supply the local market with about 700 million cubic feet of gas per day, with an increase of approximately 170 million cubic feet of gas per day.
The NOC said the scrapers would enable it to carry out pipeline cleaning work, as well as electronic checks using the smart scraper. It indicated that these work projects were carried out in conjunction with the comprehensive overhaul of the Mellitah complex because they required complete cessation of gas pumping operations.
