Russian Gas Continues to Flow into many EU Countries, including those which Formally Refused it – Gazprom CEO

Russian gas continues to be supplied to a large number of European countries, including the ones which formally refused it, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin for the Moscow. Kremlin. Putin program on the Rossiya-1 (VGTRK) television channel.
“Molecules in the main gas pipeline have no ethnic dimension. Exchange, swap operations are quite widespread. And we know that Russian gas flows into many countries, which declared refusing to use Russian gas,” Miller said on Saturday.
“The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, has recently used the Baumgarten hub in Austria as an example. We’re currently supplying gas to Baumgarten, it is a very large European hub redirecting gas to other countries in the European Union. Transit via Ukraine, in particular, via our Sudzha compressor station, makes it possible to deliver Russian gas to the Austrian hub,” he said.
“Overall, as for the Southern and Southeastern Europe, supplies of gas from Russia to this region still continue under the signed contracts. This is why, of course, Russian gas is still on the European countries, and not in small amounts, even in the countries which state that there is no Russian gas on their country market. No, it’s not true,” he said.
Gazprom said on Saturday morning that the Russian company supplied gas via the Sudzha gas metering station for transit via the territory of Ukraine in the amount confirmed by the Ukrainian side, 42 mcm, on November 11.
