Total planned to increase its electricity production capacity in France.

Iran is ready to take a serious part in reconstruction of the Iraqi electricity grid once terrorists have been eliminated from the area.

In May 2013. Iran agreed to provide Syria with a $3.6 billion credit line to imports goods and commodities.

The two sides will also discuss the possibility of installing five power generation stations with a capacity of 125 MW at Banias power plant.

The two sides also exchanged views on expansion of relations in other domains. including energy. roads. agriculture and trade as well as tourism.

Iran plans to increase its nominal electricity generation capacity to 80.000 MW by summer 2018.

The new capacity is expected to help the ministry avoid periodic outages during the hot summer when demand peaks for cooling homes and businesses.

Data show some 240 megawatts. or just around 0.3% of Iran'.s total electricity supplies come from renewable sources such as solar and wind.

Some 54 power units have gone on stream in the last four years.

The plant is truly a landmark project. supporting the development goals of the Kurdistan region.
